So, this has arrived, along with the ram upgrade.
Intel Core i7 1145G7
32GB DDR4 (upgraded)
1TB Sabrent Rocket-Q NVMe (upgraded)
Intel AX201 Wifi6 + BT 5.x
1080P 14"
Running EndeavourOS. Works great, not a single issue with the hardware. For being only a quad core CPU, it's more responsive than I was expecting. This also has the XE graphics. Not the high end 96-unit one, but still a G7, but a slightly cut down 80-unit XE graphics. Works flawlessly. "Only" purchased a 5000 series because the 7000 series no longer have DIMMs on any of them, the 7400 (clamshell, not 2-in-1) was the last 14" to have DIMMs. For being a 5000 series, this is remarkably light. Not going to win awards for performance in any way, nor for compactness, but even after upgrading to 32GB ram, I paid <$500. Now I can ditch the G5, while it's a nice gaming laptop, it's just too heavy for how I like to use things.
Still have yet to test a few things like sleeping/resuming from sleep, but most things I've tested and they work fine.

Sleeping and resuming from sleep works. Also, it now has a nice, sexy translucent orange hard case on it. mmmmmmmmm, Sexy....

That is about the same color as an orange tootsie pop. Yum, tasty.

Re: Latitude 5420
This is my favorite color of all my cases. Other than not being metallic, it's very similar to the color that was on my old 350Z.
