So I got the first of mutliple 2TB SSD's in today. Got it installed in the 7415 2-in-1, got Debian reinstalled and reconfigured. Did my SSD benchmarking as usual, and this one sort of surprised me. This thing benchmarked every bit as good as ANYTHING I've ever owned overall. Was not expecting such good performance from it. Definitely can say for the price, this is one incredible drive!

Thats what I paid for my WD SN550 Nvme ssds. Those got 2600mbs read and 2300mbs write.

And that's about what I was expecting from these, but this just about maxes out the PCIe 3.0x4 NVMe ability on reads, and gets as good as anything I've ever seen for PCI 3.0x4 on writes. Very happy with the value on this.

Re: PNY XLR8 CS3030 SSD better than expected
Was thinking of upgrading my Ryzen system to this drive bujt Ive already got a Crucial sata ssd thats getting 550read/500write. Except for loading times the drive really wouldnt change my overall experience enough for the price.

Not really, no. And that's kinda the sad thing. It was such a HUGE difference to go from spinning rust to SATA SSD's. But then going from 550 MBps SSD to 7000 MBps SSD doesn't FEEL faster. Benchmarks can tell you it is INDEED faster, but it doesn't FEEL it.
