Neat idea, but overpriced for the hardware it has, just like the original KDE slimbook. Decent hardware though, if they offered it at a realistic pricing, I'd be interested.

Didnt see the pricing initially but it does look nice. My testing of KDE Neon though hasnt been very good as it exhibited some issues that also occured in Kubuntu.

Eh, not like I'd leave Neon on there. I'd probably do Arch w/ KDE on it if I were to get one.

Youd be better off but the most stable KDE Ive used this year has been Mageia 6.

I've had really good luck with Arch. I personally have found that the hardware support for Arch is one of, if not the, absolute best of any distro, even better than Debian.

As we've discussed Id rather have an enema or tooth pulled rather than use Arch but for experienced users, particularly tech people, Ive heard nothing but good things about it. Arch and Debian are acquired tastes for those with the right experience and temperament to use them.

Manjaro is about as close to Arch as Ill ever get given my past and recent experiences with it.

Yeah. Which nowadays, if you used one of the pretty Arch installers (Anarchy or Antergos) I honestly think you'd like it. Unlike 10 years ago, it DOESN'T require constant tech-fu to keep Arch running anymore. But yeah, if you're not comfortable enough to know it well and you need help, it can be quite a hassle since the Arch forums are slightly less friendly than the vacuum of space for a naked human not wearing a space suit.

They do, however, have the absolute cream of the crop in Wiki's. I go to the Arch Wiki whenever I have issues with things first, regardless of what linux-based OS I'm running. They are simply that good.

Ive tried and tested Manjaro the recent 17.xx version and wasnt impressed with their hardware support as both the wifi and printer were completely ignored and they work with most distros Ive tested. A lot of minor issues, really nothing major but just wasnt wowed by it at all. Simply not a fan of Arch but a it depends on your overall experience as ive had issues with Arch but you like it, and I like PCLinuxOS and youve had issues with it.
System configuration and users needs really have a huge affect on which distros end up working the best.

Honestly the best distro Ive ever used and i would recommend to 99% of users of any level is MX Linux 17.
