More info here.
IF this is accurate, this is actually kinda huge. Yes, it's only direct CPU sales (which are the smallest quantity), but still. Means that people are buying boxed AMD processors 2-to-1 over Intel in Japan. This would be really good for AMD's bottom line after years of...so-so sales.
AMD has 68% of Japanese direct CPU sales...

Its accurate as the two sites I work for have also reported this from their sources. AMDs products and prices appear to be starting a shift not just in Japan but in Germany as well.

Its interesting that Dell has a lot more AMD offerings than in the past, including many of their Chromebooks.

They're just following the $$$. They've seen that there's money to be made in offering AMD now that they're competitive and all those that had been putting off buying for years because of their frustration with intels 3-4% generational improvements due to lack of competition has been shattered. Adn then there's the people that just buy AMD to support the "little" guy (not that AMD is lttle, but in COMPARISON...).
