Re: Medical issues

I have a smart watch that monitors everything I do and can provide me with blood pressure, co2 levels, heart-rate, obviously not to medical standards but it's nice to have the ability to check these things instantly providing you realise they are not very accurate and if you have any concerns you sh...

Re: A week of birds.

We don't really get the types of wildlife over here like you guys do, mainly small and not particularly dangerous, but I guess it's what our environment will give us really. Most of the amazing creatures that are over here are in the zoo's which I don't think is particularly good for the species but...

Re: A week of birds.

It must be an incredible site to see when you have the chance! I've never really been into animals and nature stuff as I was raised a "townie" but as I have gotten older I seem to appreciate the splendours that surround us more.

Re: A week of birds.

We have bird tables and feeders in the garden and it is always a delight when a new bird comes to visit, I think I miss more than I see though so am contemplating adding another cctv camera (I have two spare slots) and training it on the most used areas. Although I don't usually get to see anything ...

Re: Wubuntu Windows Ubuntu OS

I must say I'm feeling less inclined to even download it now, @chris what irked you most? And I always used to install conky on my systems but I have my own installation image now which includes it, thank you live-build! and I feel the same about Vim as wove really, I have tried it but found it not ...

Re: Wubuntu Windows Ubuntu OS

I hadn't got as far as downloading it yet, and I guess I'll drop it down the priority queue a little although I am still a little curious so will likely give it a spin at some stage. Thanks for letting us know your experience @bin it's always good to get a heads up. :D

Re: Wubuntu Windows Ubuntu OS

That does look interesting and I might just have to download it and try in a vm to see how it handles windows apps in real life. I can't say I would have a practical use for it, but it could be an alternative suggestion to anyone wanting to leave M$.
