Re: What distros have you been testing recently?

In the search for a replacement for MX I've been having fun revisiting an old friend - SolydXK. Not too bothered about the K side of it but the X(fce) is coming along nicely. It's been around many years, but never really hit the big time. Coming from Holland there's more than a smattering of orange ...

Re: Handbrake

Fascinating stuff - I actually owned and used BEOS back in the late 90's. Never had the need or urge to use handbrake on a 386 with 4Mb RAM though :)

Re: Thunderbid 115 Supernova is here!

.......So thinking Evolution needs a new UI, is just me being silly. :) Well, actually they HAVE revamped the UI - very slightly - I don't know if it was in response to Tbird (unlikely) or because it's GNOME ("If it ain't broke - break it") It's only a bit of CSD rubbish and one command f...

Re: Thunderbid 115 Supernova is here!

In terms of appearance - this is what it looks like today. Not a million miles from tbird 78 era. evolution.png The one big plus for me is the way it handles replies to HTML messages. In Tbird if I reply to an email from Outlook 365 and also some webmail systems, Tbird always picks up the font from ...

Re: Thunderbid 115 Supernova is here!

After a bit of fiddling I now have Evolution behaving as I would like it. Portability 100% - built in backup tool - just restores itself to where you were in new installation - no messing with profiles etc. Oh yes and the integration with Google Calendar actually works. No more finding out that Tbir...

Re: Thunderbid 115 Supernova is here!

Perhaps you already know this, but: Do you have toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets option set to *true* in *Config editor*? Do you have these namespace defs at the top of userChrome.css @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); @name...

Re: Thunderbid 115 Supernova is here!

There are various css hacks that are supposed to bring back the old toolbars etc in 115 - but they do not seem to work on the Debian versions. Why the duck couldn't they update the code base and just leave the interface alone I'll never know. So, although it has taken a bit of effort I've migrated o...
