Bitlocker by default with Win11 24H2

It will happen with new installs or reinstalls and even with the Home version but its still early, that might change. I hate Bitlocker as you get a 48 number key that youd better not lose or youre stuck. It can be linked to your Microsoft account but a lot of people still dont have one. Its been aro...

Re: Trackballs

I dont have those issues you mention with my mouse as modern mice are stable, accurate , wireless if preferred and DPI can be adjusted. Ive used trackballs for gaming but find even modern ones a bit clunky even though many people swear by them. Im glad you found something youre comfortable with and ...

Re: The weather has been crazy

No tornados here but it rained like a banshee last night but was over fairly quickly. May tends to be a cooler, rainier month here the last 5 years. The real heat usually doesnt come until July and beyond.

Re: Firefox 125 released

Had some issues with 125 such as when updating. It kept telling me Firefox needed to be closed but I checked and it was definitely not running. This happened repeated times but 125.03 so far, seems to have solved it.

Re: What hardware are you using?

I was able to get my Asus Rog g10DK working and its back up and running. I sat down and tested the motherboard for hours and found some issues which I can now correct with my improved vision after cataract surgery. Its up and running and I tried a beta bios they were going to release but didnt and i...

Re: Dell Inspiron 3670

With a RX6600 or RTX 3060video card, the difference between the i5 8400 and newer similar cpus is quite small, including productivity apps. Many need to realize that the constant buzz about newer cpus being hugely better is frankly not entirely true. Older mid range systems can and will perform very...
