The rain wont be like before, more seasonal than a torrent. Ive got so many built up water issues i need a break from heavy rain of at least a week.

Re: When was the last time youve used Windows?

Thanks Capt and we have handed out a lot of computers to people this year as the old hardware just keeps coming.

Its interesting as i use mostly older pc speakers because they sound so much better than the more recent ones. I use a lot of older hardware and so far its great.

Re: Mageia 6.1 released

The issue with defaulting to nvidia drivers was, many times the wrong driver was used and when making changes, unforeseen issues cropped up and it became a mess. i always prefer to install my own drivers when feasible but I stick to Nvidia because overall its easier with Linux, not perfect.

Re: Mageia 6.1 released

Thing I like best is they dont auto install the Nvidia proprietary drivers anymore. You can do it easily at install but they default to the Nouveau drivers instead. This is something i wish PCLinuxOS would do as well.

Not something I noticed honestly as my work over their is something else entirely.

Re: When was the last time youve used Windows?

Most people are using older hardware including myself so its not much of an issue. Microsoft loved planned obsolescence and theyve been doing it for years. Im in no rush to upgrade and i use Linux for most things anyway. Nice thing is, as in the old days, workarounds always came out to overcome issu...
